Despite the slogan, this one can stay. A fun flyer that my good friend Rachel found on the streets of Seattle this past summer. I snapped this picture on photobooth to document the effective use of a solid drop shadow. Besides, I always enjoy the fresh combination of blue and orange. Complimentary colours, yah know? Funky boho tapestry backdrop care of Rachel's sister Caity : )

decor daydreams
So, in a few short weeks I will be finally moving into an apartment in my favourite funky Vancouver neighbourhood. While I should be focusing on important aspects of moving - tenant's insurance, logistics of moving furniture on the ferry and packing - I find my myself in an eternal daydream of everything to do with decorating the new space. Although I will be renting so I can't do anything too ambitious (such as ripping up the navy carpet in favour of hardwood...), I do have some creative decorating ideas up my sleeve! Check out the inspirational images above that I have saved during one of my many long winded perusals of apartment therapy's Small, Cool Contest.

ribbons & folds
I am liking the variations of graphic ribbons that create the illusion of folding that I have come across lately. Clean, simple and still visually engaging. From top right: {1} Kite String Studio by Euan Mackenzie. {2} Production Diagram by 76Design. {3} Schoen und Wider Druck, by Kreativer Kopf. {4} Article1 as found on Logo Orange.

fallin' for vests
Two layered vest looks from the J.Crew Fall Collection.
{1} Delmy Zip Vest.{2} Jardin Lace Vest. These options are both pricey (especially the lace one!) so I think I will check out local thrift stores or even summer clearouts to find a similar vest and wear it over a T or henley that I already have.

farewell summer
Farewell Summer, it's been wonderful! So many memories of family, friends and great summer spots, such as Jericho Beach, where I took this magical photo. What was less magical was the large hole disguised in the lush grash that I stepped into causing me to do a faceplant before I took the photo, but hey, it's just another memory : )
