The finished product of the Super Mario Brothers vinyl wall decals I made for my 7-year-old nephew. I traced out all of the individual pieces in illustrator, used a cutting machine to cut the shapes in the correct colour and then reassembled each character like a layered (sticky, ridiculous, air bubbled, infuriating) puzzle. Why is Luigi on a motorcycle and Yoshi enjoying a casual ride on Bullet Bill you ask? Well, because my art director was 7, that's why. Maybe this Mario wall will serve as a not so subtle hint for the Nintendo Wii that is on the top of his Christmas List : )Tuesday, August 31, 2010
